TERMS OF SALE
Bids on lots in this autograph auction can be placed by mail, fax, telephone, e-mail or in person, up to the Date of Sale (24h local time). It is advised to confirm all orders in writing. The prices in the catalogue are in €uro’s; bids must also be made in €uro’s. The prices listed in the catalogue are minimum prices. For items of € 50 or more, bids under the minimum prices are accepted, starting at 80% of the listed price. Bids go up by € 5 for items with a listed price up to € 100, by € 10 for items between € 101 and € 250 and by € 25 for items with a listed price of € 251 and more. Each lot is sold on behalf of its owner and will be knocked down to the highest bidder at the bid price or by adding 10% to the second highest bid. In the event of identical bids, the first received bid wins. Clients have to pay a buyer’s premium of 17% of the auction sale price of each purchased lot, as indicated on the invoice. The premium is subject to Dutch VAT (Value Added Tax), only for clients within the European Market. Upon submission of their VAT Registration Number dealers within the European Market are not subject to pay VAT. Invoices must be paid upon receipt. If payment is not received within 30 days after the invoice date, an interest of 5% on the invoice total will be charged for the first month and of 2% for every consecutive month. Invoices are in €uro’s; foreign currencies (US Dollars or GB Pounds) will be accepted only if agreed upon between client and MANUSCRIPT and at the exchange rate applied on the date of receipt by the bank of MANUSCRIPT in the Netherlands. Successful bidders will receive an invoice detailing purchase(s), as well as instructions for payment and clearance of goods. The purchased goods will be shipped upon receipt of payment. Mailing will be at the buyer’s expense and will take place by registered mail, unless otherwise agreed upon between buyer and MANUSCRIPT. The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw lots and to refuse any bid during the course of the sale. All material in this catalogue may be examined (by appointment only) at the offices of MANUSCRIPT in Rotterdam. The authenticity of all items – as described and/or illustrated in the catalogue – is guaranteed. Bidders may return lots with important defects not specified in the catalogue and not visible on the illustrations, within 3 days of receipt of the items. In the event of a justified claim, the lot will be taken back and returned to the consignor and the sale price, including the premium (+ VAT) will be refunded. Compiled lots cannot be returned. Exclusively Dutch law shall govern this auction, as well as any rights and obligations arising there from. The placing of a bid constitutes acceptance in full of the foregoing Terms of Sale.
